Program Description:
Matigan Art And Culture is currently accepting applications for our Emerging/ professional Curators. The Emerging Curators Program offers an individual or curatorial collective the opportunity to curate a conceptually cohesive group show in the Matigan Art And Culture. The aim of the program is to encourage new dialogue and to create a platform for emerging curators and artists to experiment and exchange ideas. The program is Open to international curators; no prior curatorial experience is required. An experienced curator on staff will be available to provide mentor ship and support.
We expect openness, good English, friendliness, flexibility, passion for international art and the ability to work independently, paired with significant skills in contemporary art. The curator is expected to search and introduce new voices and organize actively within the group of artists to develop, mobilize, and realize concepts of the planned exhibition. Further expectations include discussing dialectic concepts as well as giving assistance to the artists, individually and collectively.
