Description
Persian Gulf Sceneries (2025) is a series of 66 vegetarian gelatin monoprints. Each sheet is a different scene from the same coastline: the water, the sun and the bodies that move between them.
07/66 comes in close. A face turns up toward the light, hair pulled back in a stroke of sea blue, a hand lifted to shade the eyes and a knee rising at the edge of the sheet. Almost the whole page is yellow, as if the sun has taken over the scene. The doubled, slightly broken lines and the pale streaks in the yellow come straight from the plate.
Each print is pulled by hand from a vegetarian gelatin plate in Berlin. The plate never gives the same image twice, so this is a unique work, not a reproduction. Signed, titled and numbered in pencil.
