Description
Persian Gulf Sceneries is a series of hand-pulled monoprints. Each sheet is a different scene from the same coastline: the water, the sun and the bodies that move between them.
Facing the Sun shows a woman seated at the water’s edge, turned away from us toward a sun that fills half the sheet. The sea around her is built from layer on layer of blue, scraped and pulled so the white of the paper shines through.
Each print is pulled by hand. The plate never gives the same image twice, so this is a unique work, not a reproduction. Signed by hand.
